What we do

We are a Christian organisation, creating a caring and safe community in which young people are respected, valued and offered opportunities.

At BYPC (Braintree Youth Project Charity) also known as 'The Hut', we work with young people aged 11-18 years. At our drop in centre on the edge of Braintree Town Centre, we provide somewhere safe for young people to congregate and offer opportunities for them to have fun, grow and receive support when they need it.

At the very heart of everything we do is our desire to help young people to feel respected and valued. Whatever their situation or background, we believe that they are valuable, amazing individuals who deserve to make the most of every opportunity that they have. Whilst this might be a challenge at times, there is no doubt that young people are worth our effort and time.

There are a great number of things we offer at our sessions; Games, Films, Artwork, Support, Friendship- to name a few. We also organise trips to give the young people an opportunity to have new experiences. Some of the trips we have been on in the past include; Sailing in the English Channel, a trip to London, trips to Wales and the Lake District and the infamous Stubbers!
